The Dragon of Kinnoull Hill
DescriptionThis sculpture reimagines the Dragon’s Hole legend on Kinnoull Hill, where Saint Serf defeated a fearsome dragon above the Tay Valley using only his staff. Rather than terrifying, this dragon is playful and inviting, encouraging curiosity and connection. The diamond in its brow recalls the mythical jewel granting invisibility and power. Born in Portugal, Adriana later found inspiration in Scotland’s wildlife, folklore, storytelling, and portraiture throughout her artwork.
The Auction

A bear-illiant way to back Tayside’s youth!
After the trail ends, the sculptures will be sold at an auction evening on 17 September 2026 at the historic Scone Palace.
All money raised will support YMCA Tayside and our youth work services to young people aged 8-25, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Help us make a bear-y big impact!
