At YMCA Tayside, we’re committed to creating meaningful opportunities for young people across the region. We believe that change begins with connection – friends, family, mentors, and peers all shape who we become. That’s why relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

We build these connections through shared experiences. Whether it’s group activities, youth programmes, or simply spending time together, we create spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and empowered. Our dedicated staff and volunteers invest their time and energy into fostering positive relationships – between young people, with our team, and within the wider community.

A Safe Place

Often, what young people need most is a safe place to go – a space to meet, connect, and grow. You’ll find us in schools, churches, out in the community, and at our own Y Centre in Perth’s city centre, offering youth groups, drop-ins, and tailored support.

YMCA Tayside is also part of a global movement through YMCA Scotland, YMCA Europe, and YMCA International.

This connection gives our young people access to international opportunities – from leadership conferences and volunteer programmes to cultural exchanges and global friendships. As a small charity with a big reach, we help young people explore far beyond their own backyards – building confidence, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
