Shadow Bear
DescriptionShadow Bear was created to tell the story of a bear’s woodland home through the magic of shadow puppets. The deer, fox, and hare appear as simple silhouettes, brought to life beneath the bear’s watchful gaze. Their painted shadows help them stand out from the forest scene, while a dark canopy of leaves becomes Shadow Bear’s fur. Created for a ninth Wild in Art trail, the artist says this bear is one of her favourites.
The Auction
A bear-illiant way to back Tayside’s youth!
At the end of the trail the sculptures will be sold at auction to raise much-needed funds for YMCA Tayside, supporting a variety of youth work services to young people aged 8-25, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds.
