Nanook of the North
DescriptionNanook of the North shows a polar bear moving through the Arctic’s harsh landscape. Its glowing white fur reflects the cold light, symbolising strength and resilience. Around it, melting ice and floating plastic bottles reveal the dangers threatening its once-pristine home. Yet the bear lifts its head proudly and calmly, inspiring hope for the future. With care, teamwork and action against pollution and climate change, nature can recover for everyone.
The Auction

A bear-illiant way to back Tayside’s youth!
After the trail ends, the sculptures will be sold at an auction evening on 17 September 2026 at the historic Scone Palace.
All money raised will support YMCA Tayside and our youth work services to young people aged 8-25, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Help us make a bear-y big impact!
