DescriptionSixty Stories is the theme at Scone Palace this year, and this piece draws inspiration from bears as gentle guardians of children—reimagined in the familiar form of a teddy bear. It’s a beautiful way to see them: quiet, watchful protectors of the night. To reflect this role, the sculpture carries a distinctly magical presence, embodying both comfort and wonder. A diamond set on his collar marks a special detail, symbolising Scone Palace’s 60th year of being open to the public
The Auction
A bear-illiant way to back Tayside’s youth!
After the trail ends, the sculptures will be sold at an auction evening on 17 September 2026 at the historic Scone Palace.
All money raised will support YMCA Tayside and our youth work services to young people aged 8-25, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds.
