The Dragon of Kinnoull Hill

Description

This sculpture reimagines the Dragon’s Hole legend on Kinnoull Hill, where Saint Serf defeated a fearsome dragon above the Tay Valley using only his staff. Rather than terrifying, this dragon is playful and inviting, encouraging curiosity and connection. The diamond in its brow recalls the mythical jewel granting invisibility and power. Born in Portugal, Adriana later found inspiration in Scotland’s wildlife, folklore, storytelling, and portraiture throughout her artwork.
